As part of the Disaster Recovery Community Development Block Grant Program, this project was designed to provide better drainage for upstream residential areas. Work included clearing and grubbing, structure removal, excavation, earthfill, paving, reinstalling a railroad spur line, installing riprap, and seeding and mulching.
Major Drainage Structures
The development included one 5-foot-high by 10-foot-wide by 40-foot-long concrete box culvert with concrete headwalls; two 4-foot-high by 14-foot-wide by 60-foot-long concrete box culverts with concrete headwalls; one twin 4-foot-high by 8-foot-wide by 64-foot-long concrete box culvert with concrete headwalls; one 9.5-foot-high by 13.5-foot-wide by 24-foot-long corrugated arched metal pipe; and a quarter-acre dry retention area.
