Serenova Preserve Restoration Project

This project involved the restoration of the Cone Development Borrow Pits on the Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Serenova Preserve.

Borrow Pit and Habitat Restoration

A site-specific safety plan was developed. The scope included debris handling and recycling or removal, excavation, onsite and offsite disposal, spoil overburden grading and leveling, pond slope grading, soil and road stabilization, plant material procurement, upland and wetland planting, and installation of two water-filled borrow areas referred to as the North and South Pits.
