SEI Franklin Warehouse Fire Line & Fire Sprinkler

The SEI Franklin Warehouse project, located in Palm Bay, Florida, is an excellent example of the unique combination of skills that Enviro-Tech Systems, Inc. (ETS) can provide, delivering significant cost savings to the client by offering a comprehensive service package for fire systems construction.

ETS evaluated the property prior to engineering the underground and aboveground fire systems and creating comprehensive fire protection plans, which were signed and sealed by a Fire Protection Engineer. ETS then obtained the necessary permits from City of Palm Bay, provided the materials, equipment, and labor to install the systems, coordinated inspections, and provided the client with the documentation needed for the close-out of the project.

For the underground fire protection system, the installation process commenced with trenching to connect the new 6-inch underground fire line by wet tap to the existing 8-inch PVC water main belonging to the City of Palm Bay. ETS installed a new fire hydrant, and then, a reducer was used to transition the pipe size to 4-inch. The 4-inch stub up was terminated at 1-foot above floor foundation for future aboveground connection. ETS also installed a fire department connection on the system side of the new backflow within 100 feet of the new fire hydrant. The entire system underwent rigorous pressure testing at 200 psi to ensure performance and structural integrity.
