Enviro-Tech Systems, Inc. (ETS) successfully designed and installed an NFPA 13-compliant aboveground fire sprinkler system for the Children’s Planet property in Edgewood, Florida. Prior to the design phase, ETS conducted a comprehensive survey of the building to ensure system requirements were tailored to the facility’s unique needs. The fire sprinkler system for the indoor playground area was engineered to deliver 0.10 gpm/ft² of flow across the most remote 1,500 ft², with an additional hose allowance of 100 gpm, meeting all relevant safety standards.

ETS prepared a detailed bill of materials and material fabrication list to support the installation process. The project scope included raising two existing branch lines and one main line to optimize system performance. In the open roof deck area, ETS installed new piping, securely supported by the building’s structural framing. Additionally, ETS cut back 22 existing two-piece deep drops and replaced them with modern white concealed heads and escutcheons, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
ETS coordinated all permitting and inspection requirements with Orange County and the Fire Marshal, ensuring compliance and timely approvals.
